Description: This dataset represents Senate district boundaries for the state of Florida, as ordered by the Florida Supreme Court December 2, 2015. Between 2012 and 2015, the enacted Congressional and Senate maps were repeatedly challenged in the courts. In December of 2015, the Supreme Court of Florida and the Second Judicial Circuit Court in Leon County ordered new congressional and state senate plans, respectively. These boundaries represent these new plans. The state of Florida Senate District representatives elected as of the November 8th, 2016 election have been added to the table via information found at www.flsenate.gov/Senators.
